nervous system reset tea

one grounded breath and soothing sip at a time.

10 min | serves 1 | caffeine-free | hot or iced

this mint and lemon ritual blends cooling spearmint, bright lemon balm, soft raspberry leaf, and a touch of lemongrass for a fresh, gentle cup. pair it with a few slow breaths for a quiet moment to pause, soften, and come back to yourself.

ingredients

1 tsp dried spearmint
1 tsp dried lemon balm
1 tsp dried raspberry leaf
½ tsp dried lemongrass
8 oz hot water

optional add-ins:
a slice of fresh lemon
a drizzle of raw honey

you'll also need: a tea infuser or reusable tea bag

instructions

1. bring water to a boil, then let it rest a moment off the heat.
2. add your herbs to a tea infuser or directly into a mug.
3. pour 8 oz of hot water over the herbs, cover, and steep for 6 to 8 minutes.
4. strain, add lemon or honey if you like, and sip slowly.

the ritual

while it steeps: place one hand on your chest and the other on your belly.

breathe: take three deep, grounding breaths, letting your belly rise on the inhale and fall on the exhale.

soften: notice your shoulders, jaw, and hands, and let them relax a little more with each exhale.

herbalist tips

cover while steeping: a lid or saucer keeps the bright mint and lemon aromas in your cup.

crush the lemongrass: gently press it with the back of a spoon to release more citrusy flavor.

make it iced: double the herbs, steep, cool, and pour over ice with a lemon slice.

keep it handy: premix a small jar of the dry herbs so your ritual is ready whenever you need a pause.

good to know

lemon balm may cause drowsiness in some people. if you are pregnant, nursing, taking sedative or thyroid medication, or have a thyroid condition, check with your healthcare provider before using lemon balm or raspberry leaf. honey should not be given to children under 1 year old.
