our blended sweeteners in place of maple
you'll also need: a tea infuser or reusable tea bag, a small pot, and a milk frother (optional)
instructions
1. pour ½ cup of just-boiled water over the tea. cover and steep for 7 minutes, then strain.
2. warm the milk in a small pot until steaming, then froth if desired.
3. stir the maple or honey into the tea.
4. pour in the steamed milk, top with foam and a pinch of cinnamon, and enjoy.
herbalist tips
steep it long: rooibos won't turn bitter, so a full 7 minutes gives you a bold, cookie-like base that stands up to the milk.
molasses magic: a little molasses deepens the spice and makes it taste like gingerbread.
make it iced: steep, cool, and pour over ice with cold milk and a drizzle of maple.
batch it: brew a double-strength jar and keep it in the fridge for up to 3 days for quick lattes.
