herbalist tips
simmer, don't steep: chai spices open up best with a gentle simmer, which gives you a bolder, richer cup.
make a concentrate: simmer 4 tbsp of chai in 2 cups of water for 10 minutes, strain, and keep it in the fridge for up to 5 days. mix half concentrate, half warm milk.
make it iced: pour cooled concentrate over ice and top with cold milk.
make it dirty: craving coffee? add a shot of espresso, but note it will no longer be caffeine-free.
